I worked in the vineyard to prepare it for harvest, coordinated picking and assisted the winemaker with production. My self-directed efforts in the vineyard at the beginning of the summer and my approach to picking significantly contributed to the best harvest the vineyard has had in 20 years. Additionally I worked in the tasting room where I set a new level for service, I developed business connections and got the wines on glass pour at new restaurants and represented the winery at competitions. I developed a marketing strategy for a new wine, a wine which the vineyard considered unsellable, that resulted in that wine outselling the rest of the winery's lineup of wines. I almost became an alcoholic.

Working here I became interested in a how a small, community-oriented business is run and hosted events to further develop that sense of community.

I educate and empower people in rural Bolivian communities in better health and hygiene practices by creating and presenting highly interactive workshops. In addition, I demonstrate how to maintain and properly use dry composting latrines, organize the community to enact positive changes and develop leadership skills in high school students by assisting them in the creation of projects and workshops for the rest of the community. I work closely as part of a team in presenting and building community wide composting latrine projects, organic gardening projects and help out where needed, often at co-workers workshops on health, sanitation and women's rights. I also update social media for Etta Projects.
