Daniel R. Pennington completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis on pre-medical studies at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. He began his career as a Medical Scribe, working across various clinics and hospitals in Arizona, including in Emergency Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Structural Interventional Cardiology. His exceptional performance led to his promotion to Chief Medical Scribe.In 2018, Daniel joined the University of Arizona Cancer Center as a Clinical Research Coordinator, focusing on Phase 1-3 GI solid tumor trials. His ability to take on additional responsibilities and excel in his role resulted in his promotion to Program Manager of Gastrointestinal Malignancies in 2021. In this role, he assisted with the creation of numerous Oncology IIT Protocols, managed a comprehensive GI portfolio of 60+ clinical trials, managed a team of personnel, and oversaw all aspects of research from feasibility through close-out.Daniel completed his Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Arizona in 2022 and transitioned to a Clinical Research Associate role at Faeth Therapeutics, a startup biotech company. Here, he worked on GI and Phase 1 solid tumor oncology trials and took over a national Phase 1 oncology study involving in January 2024. By August 2024, Daniel was promoted to Clinical Trial Manager at Faeth Therapeutics, where he continues to lead efforts in GI and solid tumor clinical trials.His contributions to the field are reflected in his publications in prestigious journals such as Nature Medicine, ASCO, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
