My research project was framed in OpenSuperQ: A Quantum Computer for Europe. The aim of this project is to build a Quantum Computer with up to 100 qubits using superconducting qubit technology. Withing the project I was encharged of device fabrication and testing, as well as materials development. I aslo actively participated in the development of 3D integration technologies such as superconducting through silicon vias and flip chip bonding.

During three months scholarship I investigated the vibrational and electrical properties of 2D-layered materials known as Mxenes.

My research topic intends to investigate how the superconducting properties of materials change at the nanoscale i.e. thin films, nanowires and nanoparticles. During my PhD I was able to determine how the superconducting properties of nanoscale superconductors change as a function of their size and to reveal the mechanisms responsible for these changes.
