About Daniel Pert
I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Michigan with a B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering, a minor in Computer Science, and a concentration in Materials Science & Engineering. As an undergraduate in the Goldsmith lab, I used computational modeling to study the effect of electrode d-band center on V2+/V3+ charge-transfer kinetics in vanadium redox flow batteries and the effect of substituents on quinoxaline performance and degradation in organic redox flow batteries. At Carnegie Mellon, I hope to design and optimize sustainable chemical processes and supply chains involving electrochemical CO2 reduction, green hydrogen, redox flow batteries, and upcycling of waste materials.
Listed skills include Matlab, Data Structures, Python, Microsoft Access, and 9 others.
