Tool Engineering Specialist 1992- 2010.•Hands on experience with the die casting machines, troubleshooting experience on the floor, assured quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards; testing materials and product. Responsible for tooling life analysis, budget preparation, rebuilding die cast and trim dies and new tooling projects, initiating and maintaining aluminum die cast processes, interact with vendors to design new tooling and with plant tool room and production to introduce new tooling into manufacturing floor. •Establish quality and reliability standards by studying product and customer requirements with other members of management and with production operators, technicians, and engineers. Enforce raw material standards by studying manufacturing and engineering requirements; conferring and negotiating with suppliers; devising testing methods and procedures. Verify in-process product inspection standards by studying manufacturing methods; devising testing methods and procedures. Evaluate and established rework standards by devising inspection methods and procedures.•Performed a variety of functions supporting die cast production and new product development, adjustment of settings on machines, ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines. Implemented cost savings initiatives and introduced new machinery to production floor.•ISupport product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
