As an economic consultant, I help clients tackle difficult economic questions which arise in their day to day business. I enjoy the entire process of collaborating with the client to identify the problem, utilising economic frameworks to come up with solutions and presenting results in a comprehensive way. Working as an economist means I have developed a range of skills throughout a variety of sectors. My passion lies within the energy sector, due to it being such a dynamic market currently, however I have also worked in the transport, water and telecommunications sectors. Through working in these sectors, I have a thorough understanding of regulatory economics, policy, market transactions and contracts.At Frontier Economics, I have utilised mixed integer linear optimisation to model wholesale electricity and gas markets, especially the National Electricity Market and the South West Interconnected System. Being able to create and run models is only a small part of my skill set, with data visualisation and result interpretation being crucial to add value to the client.I have performed many tasks at Frontier Economics, including demand forecasting for electricity and gas consumption, creating building block models for regulators, helping to regulate retail electricity prices and providing multiple market and due diligence reports on energy markets in Australia, Singapore and New Zealand.
