InspirAction is a start-up 501(c)3 non-profit working to 'inspire action' to end poverty worldwide. IA was founded in 2014 by a board of extraordinary skill, vision and commitment. InspirAction USA works in partnership and solidarity with Christian Aid (http://www.christianaid.org.uk), a United Kingdom-based charity with 75 years experience working in the humanitarian and development sectors. InspirAction USA and Christian Aid work in collaboration to support programs in Latin American and around the globe. InspirAction USA also seeks to build a robust US-based constituency of individuals, institutions, places of worship, governments and the business sector to identify people who are passionate about social justice, human rights, ending climate change, promoting sustainable living and addressing the root causes of inequalities and vulnerabilities. IA engages our friends, partners, donors and affiliated people in transformation relationships - creating space for those most affected by existing, greedy and unjust the political, economic and social systems to realize their human rights, dignity and personal agency. InspirAction USA seeks innovative solutions to complex global challenges. IA supports transparent and accountable methods of work, for example, highlighting and accompanying community-based organizations and local change actors to maximize the impacts of their work at all levels. Additionally, IA engages in advocacy highlighting the local actions of our partners and using evidence collected from our programs with national, regional and global governmental policy and budgetary decision-making processes, in private sector board rooms, and to raise awareness of global challenges with American citizens of all persuasions.InspirAction is motivated by faith, and does not discriminate against anyone based on their religious affiliation or none, nationality, ethnicity, language, race, gender identity, orientation, physical ability or mental acumen.

Serves the ACT Alliance in coordinating internal discourses promoting sustainable and transformational development by all network members. Represents the ACT Alliance at the United Nations Head Quarters in New York, particularly as it relates to the post 2015 agenda and sustainable development goals (SDGs), gender policy and the finance for development negotiation processes. Supports the work of the ACT Alliance in global development effectiveness as a key constituency group in the CSO Partnership for Sustainable Development (CPDE).

Undertook direct lobby and advocacy actions to both UN agencies and member state representatives at the UN in New York addressing humanitarian emergencies and promoting sustainable development.

Coordination of Ecumenical Arms Trade Treaty Campaign in over 30 countries and at the United Nations. Promoted both direct lobbying to governments and popular mobilization activities to promote the dire need for a strong and effective ATT that would save lives. ISBN 978-6-0002-2061-7.• Organized and lead civic engagement consultations for ELCA churches, consisting of 50 events across ten states.• Managed four ‘civil engagement fellows’ working on election education campaigns key election states.• Convened and web-mastered Faithful Democracy, an inter-faith coalition engaging the progressive religious community in the 2008 electoral process. • Assisted in the planning and logistic support of International AIDS Conference 2008 Ecumenical Pre-Conference.• Established a Youth Caucus for AIDS advocates; wrote statements and conference interventions; facilitated a speaker’s bureau for youth advocates; and arranged networking opportunities and social events for participants.

• Coordinated administrative logistics for three civil society conferences, two US congressional hearings and a UN briefing addressing the 2007 extrajudicial assassinations of human rights workers in the Philippines. • Tasks conducted: research and fact checking, copy editing, drafting of press releases, and compilation of necessary advocacy materials, as well as administrative and need based assistance.

• Represented UMUN office to the NGO Committee on the Status of Women, the NGO working group for the Girl Child and NGO Committee on Social Development, and conducted a variety of administrative and need-based tasks.

• Organized, facilitated and reported on a variety of UN, national and international conferences; ecumenical and interfaith events; panel discussions; and meetings- on a wide range of development, health and security issues.• Taught internal advocacy workshops on UN structure and reform, and consumer responsibility and HIV and AIDS prevention and advocacy to Lutheran church staff, members and clergy.• Authored or co-authored articles and policy briefs for various publications; including newsletters, organizational magazines and papers, and blogs.
