Led all aspects of the field steam turbine commissioning program for this project. Was able to self-perform as well as lead every aspect of the work. The team under the lead verified all power, protection, instruments and controls by performing hot loop checks, function checks, and system integration prior to turbine start-up. During start-up, performed all system tuning and calibrations to ensure safe and reliable operation of the unit and plant. The lead was responsible for troubleshooting, testing and correcting steam turbine or auxiliary system problems for all operating modes. Interacted with Samsung management, OEM technical advisors, and client operations staff as necessary to ensure the successful implementation of the EMAL II facility. Responsibilities Included:• Developing pre-operational and operational start-up procedures pertaining to electrical power system• Develop, recommend and implement modifications as required to ensure safe operation of the power plant equipment• Maintain commissioning and start-up records, red-lining as-built documents as a top priority• Conduct progress report meetings and review and adjust completion schedule, Coordinate with the contractor, owner, and commissioning staff for system walk-downs and turnover.• Provide coordination and supervision for all OEM technical advisors • Adjust daily electrical and I&C commissioning manpower loading and supervise field checkout and trouble shooting• Supervise/conduct hot loop checks, protection checks and functional testing of all plant and combustion turbine power systems• Assist as required during the performance testing and reliability testing periods• Responsible authority for all steam turbine system permit to work (PTW) and lock-out tag-out (LOTO) coordination on a daily basis -

Lead ST MKVI TA for Commissioning of a 1455 MW Nuclear unit. Identified missing Customer Equipment required for implementation of new GE LP Temperature Admission Control. Early identification allowed design, delivery and installation of equipment before affecting installation schedule. 6/11 – 11/11 ESSENT Moerdijk 2 Power Station Moerdijk, Netherlands. Lead ST MKVIe TA for commissioning of the first GE A-16 Steam Turbine (single shaft reverse flow combined cycle application). Work closely with Design Engineering team to identify/resolve issues associated with the new design. 6/10 – 3/11 PG&E – Maxwell, CA. Lead ST MKVIe TA for Commissioning of a D11 Steam Turbine. Resolved BOP Steam Supply issues that prohibited the unit from being able to start when cold. -
