Responsible for training aviators in all aspects of flight systems and airborne communications covering a wide range of equipment including Radio, autopilot, flying control systems, SAHRS etc

Working primarily as an Avionics technician on the A400M Atlas aircraft however ive assisted with many mechanical tasks during my time here aswell. Responsibilities:-Supervise/ undertake flight servicings which include refuel and replenishment of oils etc.-Carry out tool control to ensure a safe working environment.-1st line maintenance including replacement of LRU's and modifications with minimal supervision.

Responsible for maintaining and repairing SAAB Boz Pods, Aircraft headsets, LIII Looms and supporting OOA operations by servicing and repairing RapTor (reconnaissance airborne pod for Tornado) pods.

DCAE Cosford was a requirement for a second posting for me to learn the invaluable skills of becoming an Avionics technician. Here I learnt about all the major components on the aircraft including Navigation, Communications, Defensive Aids Theory of flight just to name a few.After completing my year here and receiving an average score of 88% across all subjects I was given the rank of SAC(T) Avionics.

As an AMM I was given the task of servicing the aircraft aswell as assisting the technicians whenever needed on repairs of major components. During my time here I completed 5 months out of area in Afghanistan to help support forward operations aswell as helping to support the MERT helicopter to ensure a reliable Aircraft was available whenever a call came through for it to be dispatched. completed NVQ level 3 in plant maintenance and mechanics. Started in the company as an apprentice and was in charge of warranty claims, repairs, mods and pre delivery inspections. my last few months at the company I was working more as an outside engineer as opposed to working in the depot.
