My position is responsible for monitoring and documentation of the safety aspects of the jobs that are happening on the assigned work site. If, for any reason, a safety hazard is identified the responsibility of the position Heath is in will require that person to exercise discretion and independent judgment to step in and provide guidance about the concern and possible solutions to the concern. I have full responsibility and authorization to stop any job that is being performed in an unsafe manner or that is in violation of any company, state or federal regulation(s). These safety impact decisions can result in the prevention of events such as first aid cases up to prevention of a major equipment damage of fatality. Thus this job has a direct influence on legal compliance, human resources, personnel management and public relations. My job involves both office and non-manual activities.

Anclote Plant, Gas Conversion ProjectWork with Project Management Team members to ensure Duke Energy EHS requirements are adhered to by subcontractors and employees working; •Ensure prime contractor EHS requirements are strictly adhered to; • Ensure employee orientation program in place and functional for operations; •Ensure contractor substance abuse program in place and functional for operations; •Ensure behavior based safety program in place for operations; • Attend scheduled planning meetings with DE project management as required; •Attend scheduled planning meetings with prime contractor management as required; • Be visible in the field when critical work activities in progress; •Ensure all accidents / incidents are appropriately investigated and communicated per Duke Energy requirements; •Communicate significant events to Project Management as needed; •Maintain daily field log; •Chair weekly contractor EHS representatives meeting; •Review and provide input to critical risk plans such as, but not limited to: JHA’s, fall protection plans, critical lift plans, energization plans, etc. • Ensure contractors provide positive and negative re-enforcement where EHS requirements are exceeded or not met; •Identify and implement EHS training for respective employees and subcontractor employees where needed; •Ensure incidents for respective projects entered into Etrac in a timely manner; •Track trends for respective construction projects and ensure corrective actions implemented as committed; •Provide monthly EHS report for Anclote Project; • Participate in Corporate EHS audits and assessment of Anclote Project; • Ensure Energy Supply Core values strictly adhered to: Safety first, Integrity, Continuous Improvement, Stewardship
