Over 20 years experience working closely with student teams developing innovative applications through my classroom. Examples include 1.) deploying a fully operational iPhone and Android app for our University, including maps, events calendar, course offerings, and faculty and staff information, 2.) developing an augmented reality app providing camera-driven tours of Stetson's campus with tappable location awareness providing information on the site, along with guided touring with arrows pointing direction to location, 3.) developing a inventory scheduling app for Stetson's IT department that included extensive modularity and configurability to allow alternate event and item scheduling (e.g. scheduling athletic events, seating, and purchasing) - app demoed at innovation competition and received second place ($5,000) and interest from a venture capitalist to fund a startup. Since 2008, developed innovative approach, to teaching cybersecurity through security auditing of our University in mutually agreed upon, NDA authorized, and professionally executed audits. Final audit report and a closed-door presentation to the senior administration has led to a greatly improved security posture of Stetson. This approach has been expanded to auditing multiple companies, including providing written audit reports, through signed NDAs and agreements.
