Senior Engineer
Current-Repairs and maintains all mechanical and electronic equipment within the broadcast facility as well as remote microwave sites, mobile production, and ENG/SNG vehicles. -Responsible for the day-to-day hands-on maintenance of the technical infrastructure. -Support day to day operations of broadcast information technology systems, software, and equipment. - Provides prompt service in support of daily News Department operations and other station departments. -Assist in facilities maintenance and aide in building upgrades/renovation projects. -Responsible for the integration, maintenance, operation, and support of broadcast and business information technology systems. -Supports broadcast-centric software and hardware as well as traditional desktop and file and print services. -Maintain, upgrade, and support broadcast Information Technology and mobile devices throughout the station including the studio and transmitter facilities. -Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware, software and peripherals, including network servers, storage, network operating systems, PCs and PC applications, LAN cabling, system security and virus protection. -Support telecommunications systems including business telephone switches, PRI, VOIP, carrier Ethernet, and other telecommunications technology. -Create and maintain all wiring documentation, and system configuration documentation. - Cross-trains other member of the technical staff and improves/updates technical job skills.
