As a composer for motion picture, I have worked with producers and directors in Yorkshire, Manchester, London and Brighton. My passion for classical music informs my stylistic choice for motion picture music. I write in genre specific styles and my own personal style within this limitation. I currently work as a journalist writing opera and classical music criticism for Musical Opinion and The Organ. I write visual arts criticism for Corridor8; previously for Aesthetica. I have written reportage for Music Teacher Magazine. Previously, I have extended the writing skills to web content, e mail marleting and social media management for Vision Office, Alternative Partnership, Key West Pest Control, Pestcotek, TPB Partnership, Claire Buck Business Coach, The Long Players.My experience in music is extensive and consists of a semi-professional and professional performance history in opera singing, choral singing and playing the bass guitar. I have performed as a singer in 40 operas and operettas, sometimes in principal roles. I have performed as a singer in over 40 oratorios. I have played as a bass guitarist in several jazz bands, rock bands, and I played for nine years with The Long Players: a rock and roll function band for all occasions; and with a Leeds Gilbert and Sullivan fringe group of musical performers.
