About Daniel Prete
I am an aspiring food and flavor chemist with a multidisciplinary research history in analytical method development, nutrition and environmental monitoring. I currently work at a flavor house where we develop customized flavors for use in the food and beverage industry. My strengths lie in creating fruit and desert-type profiles, as well as matching already existing popular flavors. Everyday I use sensory analysis (taste and smell) to identify hundreds of chemicals to create and match new flavors, but also to QC test batches of flavor and incoming raw materials. I'm using GC-MS almost daily but I also have hands on experience with HPLC, UV-vis, IR, some NMR, and most common bench-top instruments and techniques.
Listed skills include Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, and 16 others.
