Youth Engagement Coordinators are hired across the province by local public health units as part of the Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy. Our role is to lead youth tobacco and vaping prevention programs and activities in schools and communities. I have the privilege of working with youth and adult allies to develop and implement tobacco and vaping prevention programming throughout the Sudbury and District area. Our vision is to empower youth to take action to protect their health and contribute to sustainable change in their communities. My commitment is to focus on the core principles and practices working from a positive youth development framework, to promote the health and well-being of young people. I am also committed to working with local organizations that wish to engage youth in a meaningful way. I would love to hear from you and learn how we can work together.

Vaping amoung students is outpacing cigarettes smoking! I work with youth who get together to empower their friends and family in making good, informed decisions about smoking and vaping. We are always recruiting so if you know youth who are interrested in making a difference, please let us know.
