I am an early years and primary teacher and have experience working in the EYFS and both key stages one and two. I have also worked in an SEN school teaching at the primary level. I now work at the British School of Vila-Real in Spain which is part of the ISP group. At the school, we teach the English curriculum to a mainly native Spanish cohort. Currently, I am working to bring early years practice learning into year 1 to strengthen the learning experiences that the pupils have. Within the school, I also run a Forest School targeted at pupils that may need further support in school. I am also in charge of managing the data for the primary and early years working with the secondary staff and leadership team at the school. previously have been the coordinator for STEM subjects and later science in primary and early years helping to develop the teaching and learning in this area. I run a Warhammer Alliance club with pupils in secondary to promote social-emotional skills as well as painting techniques and language skills. I started my working life as an archaeologist working as an excavator and finds specialist specializing in metallic finds and Roman Britain. I primarily worked conserving and illustrating finds as well as being part of the services outreach and education team.
