• Used PLC diagnostics to troubleshoot and clear errors during normal operation of park rides (PLC500, Slick500, and PLC5000 were all in use in different processes in the park).• Used RSLogix software during troubleshooting, but also spent time to familiarize myself with the ladders, data tables, and programming for block systems.• Worked often under pressure for high-speed response due to people being “stuck” on a ride or coaster, or in general to minimize down-time.• Performed daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance checks of all rides and attractions (filed paperwork for each as each task was completed).• Adhered to strict company and ride manufacturer policies and procedures.• Repaired or replaced electrical components, wiring, conduit, and area/indicator lighting as needed during preventative maintenance or repair.• Replaced, cleaned, repaired, and performed preventative maintenance checks on AC and DC motors.• Performed general electrical work throughout the park: Replacing lamps of varying size and style, replacing ballasts, running conduit and wire for new power installations, troubleshooting and repairing tripped circuits.• Communicated with other employees (from my department or otherwise) using radio voice procedure and adhering to FCC guidelines. • Ran and wired control circuits through several HVAC devices in a large area.• Used an array of different beam clamps and hangers in order to run fragile CAT5 control wire (ran it high to keep it safe, and always ran straight and made ninety-degree turns for a professional, attractive finished look).• Used building schematics to locate the devices and circuit schematics to properly order the installation.• Ensured all devices and runs could be controlled and diagnosed easily through a single control panel.
