• Design and develop orthopedic implants and instrumentation. • Collaborate with surgeons to determine market needs and utilize expertise to improve new designs and instrumentation. • 3D model implants and instruments using CAD software. • Develop test protocols, operating procedures, and new implant and instrument manufacturing requirements. Write documentation and provide technical support required for 510(k) regulatory submission process.• Develop and improve quality systems and procedures to improve efficiency and safety. Conduct and coordinate risk management activities listed in ISO 14971. • Studied OR environment to become more familiar with the use of surgical implants and instruments in the OR.

At GE Appliances I joined a New Product Introduction design team working on the next generation of dishwashers. While on their team I helped with several tests regarding plastic creep, deflection, and torque studies.
