I provide guidance and have oversight into all things company related. When reviewing RFQ's, I determine if we have the proper capabilities, and if our QMS supports the type of work. I work with clients to verify all information shared is accurate, current, and can be used properly to deliver a quality product to their jobsite.Additionally, I monitor other inspectors, perform vendor audits, and train/ test welders on a regular basis.

Certified Welding Inspector who performs structural steel inspections for various TxDOT projects for the Materials and Testing Division (MTD), governed by contract documents, TxDOT specifications, AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code and D1.5 Bridge Welding Code, as well as ASNT/ AASHTO standards. I perform fabrication inspections and qualification audits with local DFW fabricator QC staff, as well as with fabricators all over the United States. My division provides feedback when necessary to the Manager/Engineering staff at our Headquarters in Austin,T.X.I am also a Smith System Driver Trainer for the Materials and Testing Division (MTD) within TxDOT, to help drivers develop safer driving practices. I give classroom training and on the road training to help implement space cushion driving as outlined by the Smith System Institute.

My overall job duties primarily are to improve the performance of our production team. Including welding knowledge, quality, processes and procedures. I aim to pass on my knowledge of ASME stardards to the welders i train.

On a daily basis I plan and present our production goals to meet ship dates. I work with the welders to improve quality and process improvements. I perform daily inspections of welds throughout our facility. My job responsibilities are to be flexible and to be available to 40 employees for questions and to help in the manufacturing flow. Its challenging but everyday I learn something new.

Providing my welding and inspection knowledge to verify projects are being conducted accordingly to applicable codes and standards. As well as providing support to other departments to make sure projects are completed on time.

I primarily worked as a welder with multiple qualifications with carbon and stainless steel. Throughout the 2015 year I worked with the QA manager and General Manager in gaining knowledge of their duties. In March 2016 work had slowed for me to be lay-off and I pursued becoming a Certified Welding Inspector/Educator

This was an ASME code vessel shop, that was a sub-contractor for PECO FACET. I primarily welded full-time, but at various points in 4 years, supervised the production of 30+ projects with a workforce of 5-20 welders at anytime. I would inspect fit-up, verify work documents, perform hydrostatic testings, and perform a final inspection of welds made prior to a QA sign off. Using large overhead cranes to lift vessels in excess of 50 tons.

Began as a welders’ helper and worked my way up over a five­ year period to become a Welder 3. Job duties included welding in all positions, fit up of all parts, little to no re­work, making RT, UT, MT, PT quality welds, assisting QA inspectors as needed. I followed ASME sec. VIII, IX and all weld procedures per job that I participated in.

I worked over the summer after I graduated high school welding structural parts for this company. I learned how to use many types of industrial equipment as well.
