Graduate Scientist, AstraZeneca Innovative Medicine and Early Development (IMED) Graduate Program: post-baccalaureate program made up of three rotations across three different departments within AstraZeneca.o Rotation 1 (Sep 2016-Apr 2017): AstraZeneca IMED Oncology Bioscience• Used CRISPR/Cas9 and other molecular biology techniques (RT-qPCR, WesternBlotting, RNAi, RNA and DNA transfections and PCR) to do reverse genetic studiesof immunosuppression signaling pathways in several cancer cell lines and in primaryhuman and mouse CD8+ T-cells.• Packaged several genes into lentiviral particles, titered the viruses and used them togenerate stable cell lines for high-throughput cell-based assays.o Rotation 2 (May 2017-Dec 2018): AstraZeneca Discovery Sciences- Chemical Biology• Worked on developing a universal in vitro and in vivo protein target validation systemusing a combination of CRISPR/Cas9 and new chemical biology techniques.• Developed a biochemical assay to test the efficiency of a novel modality of smallmolecule drugs.o Rotation 3 (Jan 2018-Jul 2018): AstraZeneca IMED Oncology Bioscience• Worked on developing and validating a high-throughput luminescence CRISPR/Cas9phenotypic screen for new target identification.• Generated the cell lines used in the screens using lentiviral transduction.
