 Working under the supervision of Dr. Luiz Olavo Baptista (former member of the WTO Appellate Body), I was charged with legal research, analysis and drafting of the firm's legal opinions regarding WTO issues. The Law Firm, alongside Firms in Washington and in Brussels, offered counsel to and represented the Brazilian Government regarding WTO issues and disputes. Legal counsel and representation of importers, foreign exporters and domestic industry interests in trade remedy procedures before the Brazilian Authority (DECOM) Draft of legal opinions regarding WTO compatibility of Brazilian and other WTO Members proposed measures

 The CGTI is a think-tank headed by Professor Vera Thorstensen. It develops researches in trade regulation and investment issues. The Center’s researches involve both economic and legal aspects of trade regulation issues and, thus, counts with economic and legal experts in the field. The Legal Coordinator is responsible for the legal aspects of the Center’s researches and must supervise the work of the other legal experts. Research in a broad band of trade regulation subjects focused on WTO regulation, dispute settlement, China Accession and others, Trade policy mechanisms, TRIMS, TRIPS, TBT, Social clause, trade and development, Regionalism and its impact on trade, Doha round negotiations, Regulation of Energy Sector; Coordination of several research projects, being responsible for coordinating the work of up to 80 researchers from different parts of the country and abroad; Counseling and redact of papers to important private and public sector agents on key international trade regulation issues, specially on WTO matters; Assisting in regular and special courses on WTO and international trade regulation.
