I am pleased to announce I have been selected to travel to the famous Okavango River Delta, Botswana, come June 2019 as an environmental research assistant. I will have the opportunity to explore and undertake advanced environmental monitoring and hydrological research analysis while interacting with scientific, policy and environmental experts across the region. This is a fundamentally important ecosystem for not only the surrounding flora and fauna but for the people of Botswana, which is now under significant threat with the impacts of climate change and water conflicts impose. I am hoping this opportunity will give me not only great experience but the determination in providing valuable research results for the people in Botswana in helping to preserve their one of a kind heritage site.
