I dedicated my attention to short- and long-term planning and forecasting. This line of work entailed projecting both cash and financial positions utilizing dynamic spreadsheet modeling. Due to the comprehensive nature of the projections, my team interacted with multiple departments to receive vital information impacting business operations and in turn, published internal cash and financial reports. Additionally, my team compiled the annual operational budget with the help of field management and carried out monthly budget to actual variance meetings for business divisions.

As a Senior Analyst, I maintained ownership of the dynamic models I created, but took on additional responsibilities in financial reporting for the parent company. I assumed lead role in drafting board meeting presentations, compiling bank compliance reporting documents on a monthly and quarterly basis, and provided automation services where possible to facilitate a quicker month-end close turnaround.

As a Financial Modeling Analyst and created analytical tools via spreadsheet modeling. The financial and operational tools I developed centered around statistical asset utilization metrics to better understand returns on investment, project month-end revenues, and analyze divisional performance.

The internship presented a vast amount of opportunities ranging from providing valuable research to managing 9 Research Associates throughout the consulting process. Consulting projects were carried out for businesses located in Idaho and Utah.I provided consulting services to business owners who looked to our research team for guidance in making strategic business decisions and making tactical implementations for best practices. Projects included conducting macroeconomic, market, industry, consumer, product, and competitor analyses; due diligence; and providing presentations in both verbal and written form.Responsibilities also included scheduling and leading meetings with clients and research teams on a weekly basis, fostering team collaboration, and navigating through databases to gather data.
