Citrix Engineer brought on to fill in for and assist the full time Citrix Administrator in a mixed environment of Presentation Server 4.0 and 4.5 hosting custom applications as well as SAP and Microsoft standard applications. Also to work with Citrix Engineers from Florida on a ongoing printing issue. Also to address over 150 trouble tickets there were in cue. At my completion of this temp assignment there were only 1 ticket left in cue pending changes from the development team, and the printing issue and ticket with Citrix had been closed.

Citrix Engineer brought on to create virtual Desktop image for development teams. This included over 200 applications and multiple database access points. Debug of applications in XenDesktop and correct connection errors to Oracle as well as SQL databases in several locations. Imaged then tested by teams and now being rolled into production.

Citrix Engineer brought on to consolidate Citrix Farms from all over the Christus Health network Data Centers. All are being relocated to San Antonio with a mixture of VM and conventional servers. Brought on a Senior Citrix Engineer to trouble shoot existing PS 4.0 and 4.5 farm that serviced much of the United States. Being a large insurance company it was imperative that uptime and performance not be compromised. After trouble shooting the farm I passed on my recommendations to management that an upgrade of the Win 2000 server OS and upgrade from PS 4.0 to 4.5 was needed to improve stability and performance. Bell Helicopter is customer of IBM and after the completion of my Project in Austin I was asked to work with the IT department they had in place at Bell, to Engineer a remote access solution for Bells Customers all over the world. This was also done with Citrix MetaFrame over Frame Relay using 128 bit encryption. During this time I also designed and built a small farm of 5 MetaFrame Servers for Bells Engineering Department. Since all of Engineering was HPUX or AIX they had to have a PC as well as their UNIX machine on each desk or share one with a co-worker in order to get e mail. Using Citrix we were able to put a Windows desktop via MetaFrame on each users UNIX Machine. Terminal Server used for some apps.
