As a Contract Specialist and Admin, I had various duties. I was the head of the State of Wisconsin’s Computer and Copier Contract. This was a high sight position; every State of Wisconsin department and employees ordered their desktops, laptops, and copiers from this contract. I enjoyed negotiating and updating price lists with vendors for various IT equipment. I was front facing with vendors at various stops, representing the state at different conferences and functions. This position required intense technical writing: I rewrote the standard language for request for proposals, modified delivery orders, and created a new evaluation system for vendors; an industry wide change from traditional hard drives to PCI-E hard drives required me to rewrite requirements, create new price lists, write and disseminate the reasons and new language for the change to all agencies. Prior to the computer and copier duty, I was the front facing representative for large scale construction contracts. I received customers, and either assisted them or directed them to the correct agency. This required me to use the standard Wisconsin system for bidding, documentation, solicitation, request for proposals, information, insurance and bonds for all construction contracts, projects, and all for facilities for the State of Wisconsin.This career mostly involved coordinating construction documentation: reviewing and approving requirements, bidding proposals, bonding certificates, and certificates of insurance. I was tasked with creating milestones for contract initiation, statement of work, bidding, and award. I oversaw organizing, scheduling, and recording sealed bids while researching vendors that can meet the requirements of the statement of work and inviting them to bid on appropriate projects. I approved bids and offering awards. I performed cradle to grave contract administration, contract closeout, processing change orders, and managing final payments.

This contract ensures all laboratory equipment, aircraft tools, etc. are calibrated to exact amounts to ensure correct readings and safe flying on all aircraft. Closed out $623,345.84 worth of contracts in Q2 of FY 12 becoming an essential member of unit that earned the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. Earned perfect ratings of "clearly exceeds" on all annual Performance Reports.
