I have been a mediator since 1989. From 2005-2011 I mediated over 200 multi-party mediation cases involving children in foster care and related proceedings throughout the New York City Family Court system. Achieved a 70% successful resolution rate. Worked closely with attorneys, caseworkers, parents and children to prepare them for mediation. Mediated wide range of issues including service plan compliance, conditional surrender of parental rights, children’s return to parents, custody and visitation, adolescents aging out of foster care, interpersonal conflicts between among relatives, foster care workers, parents and children. Worked closely with judges and court staff. Co-developed training program for permanency mediators throughout New York State. Presented at annual Administration for Children’s Services, new attorney trainings, New York City Training Office from 2005-2011.Specialties: Mediation in matters of divorce, community, elder care and parent/child disputes.
