As a criminal defense attorney, I advise, counsel, and represent my clients zealously throughout all critical stages and judicial proceedings in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I use my knowledge of and experience with the criminal justice system to help my clients navigate through the legal landscape. Twin Cities Teen Court is a pre-trial juvenile diversion program for teenagers who commit low-level criminal offenses in Anoka County. As the Executive Director, I oversee the operation of the program by processing new juveniles, scheduling Teen Court hearings, and following up with participants to ensure compliance with the program. My ultimate responsibility is to use Twin Cities Teen Court as a tool to reduce juvenile recidivism using restorative justice techniques and methods.

I represent--on a pro bono basis--defendants who are charged with misdemeanor offenses when the Public Defender's Office encounters a conflict of interest (i.e., represents two or more co-defendants in the same case). My representation begins after the arraignment and continues until the case resolves.
