Attains and sustains high levels of readiness, recruiting, and retention in the organization. Manages individual and collective training, logistic and administrative readiness of the company. Served as the senior military science instructor (SMI) in a SROTC battalion responsible for the discipline, training, counseling, and professional development of 180 Cadets and 12 cadre in support of the United States Army Cadet Command. I served as the senior enlisted advisor to the Louisiana State University Commandant of Cadets and principal advisor to the professor of military science on all aspects of Cadet recruiting, training, and commissioning requirements. Acted as the Army liaison to university and community leadership for the execution of military ceremonies. Served as the Platoon Sergeant in an OCONUS based Infantry Battalion Reconnaissance Platoon with a wartime mission to deploy within 96 hours as an element of a Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT). Responsible for the health, welfare, moral and training of a 31 man Reconnaissance Platoon consisting of 3 reconnaissance teams, 1 sniper section, and 4 vehicle crews. Primary advisor to the platoon leader on all matters pertaining to enlisted Soldiers. Spearheaded the accountability and maintenance of 4 Stryker vehicles, 2 Humvees and associated mission essential equipment valued in excess of $12,400,000.• Focused on planning the return / retrograde of capabilities supporting forces temporarily assigned within Afghanistan as force manning requirements drawdown; ensured that a proper amount of materiel is maintained to support the remaining forces.• Supervised the closure of a Forward Operating Base in Afghanistan; performed duties as the Personnel Supervisor for over 300 personnel and millions of dollars of inventory.• Led efforts to develop partnerships with Turkish Forces, enabling greater interoperability between NATO forces..
