Mt. Crawford

At Danone Mt. Crawford, I have been exposed to a number of engineering projects and have learned about the operation and upkeep of a food grade manufacturing plant. This experience has been very rewarding as I have learned and added to my skillset in this role. Aside from being on the plant floor and interacting with operators, managers, and contractors, I have spent time developing various technical documents in order to achieve facility goals. These documents include drafting a User Requirement Specification (URS), Standard Operating Procedures, along with Lock-Out Tag-Out's for various machines.

A Plumbing and HVAC mechanical company Riddleberger Brothers Incorporated allowed for me to see all facets of the project. During my time with RBI, I spent time in office and in the field. Whether I was in the BIM department visualizing the mapping required to get our systems installed, or actually being on site and putting the HVAC and Plumbing systems in, this internship allowed for an incredible amount of learning. I look forward to where the future takes me in my Engineering education and would be excited if RBI was a part of that.

As a Telecom Intern, my responsibilities included inspection and repair(when needed) of telecommunication equipment. Specifically, I would inspect Emergency phones all over JMU's campus, and once each phone had been inspected my role transitioned into inspecting communication equipment in each dormitory room on campus.

In the role of General Foreman, it was my responsibility to go over project deadlines and ensure that the team was progressing to meet these deadlines ahead of schedule and up to the highest standard of quality. Specifically, this past summer (2022) I was in the role of flipping a house, which meant each day had something new to look forward to.
