Blogging for Holiday Discount Centre, CheekyTrip and Compare Student Rooms. The first two predominantly cover topics such as holiday destinations, resorts, city guides, tourism, and prices available via the comparison sites. The latter involves guides to student cities around the UK from the perspective of a student; the nightlife, things to do, best restaurants etc.

I spent 4 weeks working mainly in the Finance department of Holiday Discount Centre but also working closely with the social media, email marketing and SEO marketing teams. I also spent time shadowing the SEO to give me a macro perspective of the business. This involved some of my own input and take on a possible merger with a same-industry business and examining their financial forecasts and proposal.Some of my responsibilities during the period and my takeaways from the experience include:- A crash-course type learning curve with Excel which resulted in familiarity and proficiency with functions such as Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, IF Statements among others.- The responsibility for the creation of a 'Management Dashboard' from scratch. This pulled together crucial macro-level statistics including Cost Per Call, Clicks and Social Media Growth %. The dashboard provided both month on month and year on year comparisons.- The fulfilment of various accounting tasks such as invoicing, balance sheets, accruals.- A presentation to all of the staff of my Management Dashboard including its functionalities, interpretations and how to use and input into it going forward.

I turned my passion for Stoic philosophy into a 6-figure turnover eCommerce business - entirely from scratch - over the course of 4 years.The store began with selling medallions to UK customers on Etsy and ended up selling medallions, rings, necklaces, t-shirts, keyrings, exercise cards and more on every continent, mostly through Amazon and other eCommerce platforms.I sold the business in May 2024 to an American buyer for a 6-figure sum to focus full-time on my drone business and other online-based projects.
