Strategy and ManagementDaniel was a member of the Fortum Heat Scandinavia Purchasing Management Team which is a global forum for purchasing related issues. The team works with improving purchasing processes to work more effectively and also measure these continuous improvement in the KPI´s.To maintain high quality in the sourcing activities Daniel has analyzed the suppliers through Kralic´s matrix and coupled it to the purchasing categories. The work aimed at reducing work with low-impact suppliers to free resources to the more strategic suppliers. Daniel led the Change Advisory Team for the Investment Portfolio System (OPPM). The aim and result was to improve the system to be able to take better investment decisions. SystemsKPI-reportingWith input from the global purchasing functions, Corporate Purchasing, Daniel led the development of a user generated fully automatic KPI-reporting system for Early Purchasing Involvement, Competition and Saving.The system was based in SharePoint and created a Dashboard in Excel. The system had over 50 users and more than 800 registered purchases. The system was very popular and easy to use. There was no need for training or manuals as the system had a very intuitive interface.Supplier Evaluation ToolDaniel had the task to specify and implement a tool for the evaluation and follow up of suppliers. The data generated from the system helps purchasers and project leaders to proactively approach the suppliers with any questions or concerns.Public Procurement Evaluation ModelDaniel has seen the need for and developed and implemented a new evaluation model for evaluating suppliers during public tendering. The model uses an absolute approach and has been implemented with ease due the high level of transparency for the suppiers.

Concept and Process development.Founded a company based on the vast possibilities for plasma based waste treatment. Engineered the business model and identified the market for on-site hydrogen production from renewable waste feedstock. The name Plagazi stems from PLAsma GAZIfication. The company is a member of STING (Stockholm Innovation and Growht). This work has helped the organization to cut time in the sale process and helped increased the in house transparency and the understanding of the importance of the agreements. The group within the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences aiming at interconnecting the science and the business world. The group has a great role in determining the future of science and engineering. Other important issues for the group is how to develop and maintain Swedish competitiveness both in industry and research. Evaluation of SSAB´s implementation and development of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). The work was done with a humanistic perspective as to determine the implication on worker satisfaction during the implementation of ”My Machine- Concept”, Preventive Maintenance and an overall improvement of the working environment. The work included meetings with executives for Toyo Tanso and JFE Steel in Japan.
