As President of the Health Commission, I led parliamentary activities during the COVID-19 pandemic, overseeing over 50 sessions and 100 initiatives related to health, safety, and working conditions. I led the drafting, sponsorship and approval of bills, in the field of health, open democracy, EU just transition, social affairs and employment. Collaborated with the regional government to guide public policies, negotiating the annual regional budget (4.5 billion euros). Represented the parliamentary group, Podemos Asturies, in more than 500 meetings and multi-lateral networks. Created alliances between workers, unions, employers’ organizations, civil society and public institutions to raise their concerns in the regional, national and European Parliament. Held dialogues with national MPs and Ministires. Lead media appearances, crisis communication, design of political campaigns, and strategic supervision of social networks, resulting in more than 400 press conferences, journal articles, and tv live interventions and interviews.
