Managed assembly, CAD redesign, and 3D printing of a BSL-2-compatible capillary rheometer to characterize biomechanical properties of native cystic fibrosis sputum.Performed porcine and human airway tissue and blood procurements followed by culture in bioreactors in 8 pigs and 2 cross-circulation surgeries for organ regeneration assessments. Led the redesign and prototyping of upgrading a physiologic airway mucosa and parenchyma bioreactor facilitating in situ imaging and gene delivery for the study and development of a cystic fibrosis lung model.
