Verify down access point was also part of my duties to make sure guest had access to wifi. Old I.T. storeroom was cleaned out and organized. Organize data cables and power cables in I.T. office. Supervised mapping of patch panels and switches and servers for Contract Company. Company is in process of changing switches from wall to racks. Tested new equipment and old and followed up with Hilton customer support for repairing damaged equipment. Tested new wifi portable hotspot for VIP’s at the hotel.Set up workstation in storeroom area and run new cable from old drop to new location. In charge of project of programming telephones in rooms so that guests only have to press one button for 911 and verify that room service and concierge buttons were working. Corrected extension number that was written on telephone inserts in the rooms. Verify that all cables in the rooms where access points are organized and out of sight so that guests do not unplug access points. Make tickets with Hilton customer support for computers that are not working. Verified slow computers and defragment them. Troubleshoot cables using a cable certifier.
