Completed a project to value the consumer surplus for provision of residential potable water as an ecosystem service. This involved significant analysis of residential water consumption from 2006 to 2012 and constructing a statistical model for this consumption with drivers including price, demographic and meteorological data and water restrictions. The price parameter estimate was used to estimate the consumer's surplus for each particular quarter/year and can be attributed to the source catchment. This project will be used to inform the Healthy Waterways Economic Indicators

Monitoring of Water Sensitive Urban Design assets in Caloundra for water quality treatment performance and contributing factors. This involved preparation and undertaking of field experiments as well as in-situ permeability sampling, laboratory analysis of filter media from sites and vegetation assessments.AchievementsPreparation of supplementary report on the results of these assessments and possible implications for future urban designs. This report provides a strong validation for such systems being built.
