I have worked with some really great companies in my career, and I have learned a lot from each of them. The Daily Grind Coffee Shop taught me more about customer service than I could ever have imagined. Pleasing the public can be difficult at times, but to be successful you have to find a way to make each customer's day a little better. A smile, a simple "how's your day", or a small compliment can go farther than I ever imagined. I have had customers come back years later and share stories with me about how I made them smile during a dark time in their life. How a simple gesture gave someone a new outlook when things looked bleak. I still take this lesson with me in whatever task is at hand. I then paired this lesson with the world class sales training of Sysco Foodservice, and voilà, you have the perfect blend of compassion, dedication, motivation, knowledge, and professionalism to earn customers and keep them loyal for the long haul. I become more than a salesman, I become a valued partner.
