I am a second-year at The University of Miami student majoring in Health Science, with minors in Chemistry and Public Health. I am driven by a passion for the medical field. My academic journey is fueled by a commitment to understanding the complexities of healthcare and contributing to advancements that improve patient outcomes. As a Clinical Cancer Research Intern through the Sylvester Program for Academic Research and Knowledge (SPARK), I am actively involved in the OnPOINT intervention study, exploring the impact of tailored diets and exercise on the quality of life for breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer survivors. This role allows me to bridge my academic knowledge with hands-on experience in clinical research, reinforcing my dedication to cancer care and the power of nutrition in healthcare.In addition to my research role, I serve as a Biology Teaching Lab Assistant at the University of Miami. Here, I set up and manage lab sessions, demonstrating techniques that enhance student understanding while prioritizing safety protocols. This experience has not only sharpened my communication skills but also deepened my appreciation for education and mentorship in the sciences.My passion for the medical field extends beyond the classroom. I actively seek opportunities to shadow physicians, immersing myself in the intricate dynamics of both clinical and surgical environments.
