Senior Researcher
Current• Build a portfolio of mission-aligned work by developing new project ideas; preparing proposals in response to RFPs, inbound requests, and other opportunities to secure funding; and creating and cultivating relationships with potential partners and funders.• Conduct research and analysis through a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate institutional strategies and services aimed at increasing postsecondary access and success of students, including assessing the impact of a proactive, technology-enhanced advising intervention through a randomized controlled trial of over 10,000 students and an emergency aid program that alleviates financial distress of students through difference-in-differences regressions, a quasi-experimental technique.• Analyze and aggregate project budgets and other financial data to develop a staff capacity tracker; develop, implement, and manage a system that provides staff with regular updates on budgeted expenses and actual expenses to date; and calculate actual and predicted revenue by month and year to inform the budget process and financial forecast.• Serve as a strategic advisor and consultant for colleges and universities to uncover barriers to retention and present strategies and recommendations for addressing them through the collection and systematic analysis of their student data.• Manage four direct reports by overseeing their project contributions and supporting their professional development.
