During the course of my career I consider a couple of aspects most valuable: How important it is to think outside the box - while actually learning the topic related.I'm following this principle firstly to always stay open minded, not letting any "usual" solutions get in the way of any better solution. And secondly I feel like I'm growing through many different challenges and solutions. Be it for example in authoritative, highly regulated conditions, in a fast-moving logistical environment or tip-toeing around personal driven decisions.Another important aspect is to think highly pragmatic and continue doing so: Time changes nearly everything, why wouldn't solutions change with it? I deem it favourable to question inconvenient solutions and/or processes.Subsequently I'd like to highlight the importance of motivation, high spirit and serenity. Naturally this is nothing new to read but I'm seriously trying to embody this when working with my team, suppliers and customers. First of all I will have much more fun at work and so will my opposite partner. This motivation alone leads to improvement of many results.Second of all I am suffocating any emotional discussions when staying calm during heated words. Though I have to admit feeling this is definitely not easy to master.This aspect needs, in my opinion, boundaries though: I give clear instructions mentioning definitive expectations. If those are far from met I will clearly communicate that the result needs revision, or in case of negotiation, that we need to reconsider our notion.My final thoughts, what I do regard highly too, are: Consequences - expressing stringency so that I remain to be trustworthy. And to always stay honest. In my experience it is better to communicate any inconvenient truth than to delay such message.
