Executed the technical leadership role for major launch vehicle programs such as the NASA Ares I Upper Stage Thrust Vector Control (TVC) system and the Taurus II Stage 1 launch vehicle TVC system. Activities include the organizing and execution of major $15M to $25M programs that consist of 20 to 30 person teams of highly skilled resources to design, develop, and fabricate hydraulic actuation systems, electromechanical actuation systems, and the digital control electronics. Responsibilities include leading project technical resources to maintain schedule and budgets, creation of intra-team processes for our program management plan and use for day to day program execution, managed technical documentation deliverables, and organized/maintained complex customer relationships. Other accomplishments include leading a process improvement team to optimize an internal transactional process that involved the design and implementation of an innovative web based software application to facilitate the Moog Space and Defense group’s proposal process. Lead multiple proposal efforts where I created detailed task-based / time-phased project plans, cost estimates, and technical write-ups.

Executed Six-Sigma Black Belt projects to reduce process variation on medical device product manufacturing lines that resulted in increase yields, reduction of production costs and manufacturing lead times. Managed the consolidation of a medical device component manufacturing facility and the transfer of technology to a new facility. Activities included the creation of the project execution plan, Master Validation Strategy, build-out of a new facility, transfer of manufacturing equipment, and re-qualification of 20+ component manufacturing lines.

Provided a strategic customer with engineering and project management support. Executed a product line transfer and revalidation project for cardiovascular and neurovascular guidewires from Miami FL to a manufacturing facility in Boston MA. Completed a successful performance optimization project for a cardiac biopsy device using Process Excellence/Six Sigma techniques, contributed to the development of multiple, comprehensive product manufacturing proposals, wrote and reported on process validation protocols, and resolved multiple process related issues.
