I worked for 3 years at Central Michigan University as a research assistant for professors on topics including water and wastewater reuse, water resources engineering, water quality, biogeochemistry, and ecological engineering. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering and minors in Mathematics and Environmental Science, and have earned my EIT in Environmental Engineering.I then earned my Master of Science at Ohio State University in Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering, with the majority of my research and coursework being in water resources and ecological engineering. My research group focused on legacy phosphorus fields in Northwest Ohio and comparing best management practices to reduce nutrient runoff and harmful algal blooms in Lake Erie. For my thesis, I researched soil development and carbon sequestration in created freshwater wetlands 30 years post-construction. I paired my own data with data from the 0-, 1.5-, 10-, and 15-year milestones to construct a timeline of key ecosystem services and physicochemical qualities.I currently work as a Civil Engineer for the US Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District, and am participating in the two year rotational Recent Graduate Program.
