Project responsibilities: Complete management of gas turbine equipment projects, supplied to international clients, for power plants across the world. Direct management of project budgeting, procurement activities, cash flow management, schedule control and on-time delivery, including international freight as required. Typical combined project workload of AUD $10-15m, and 6-8 concurrent projects. Contract and payment terms negotiations with clients and fabrication facilities for high value contracts, including face-to-face meetings in office around the world as required. Significant presence in fabrication facilities, monitoring project schedule, equipment quality, and negotiating contract terms, variation requests, client inspections and equipment function testing. Drafting and issuance of contract, financial and commercial documentation, such as contracts and attachments, sub-contracting agreements and conditions, bank guarantees/bonds and letters of credit. Weekly, fortnightly and monthly reporting to direct report (operations manager), as well as other key stakeholders (general manger, CEO, board of directors). Management and leadership of team of project engineers working together on the projects, including training of new recruits as well as development and encouragement of established team members. Significant input into equipment design, factoring in design constraints, material costs, fabrication costs and processes and site erection activities.Other responsibilities: Continuing improvements and additions to the documentation and quality control systems to improve productivity and efficiency. Assistance to new project tendering, providing technical expertise on proposed equipment, cost reductions and schedule requirements. Leadership and support to all members of the company as a senior staff member.

Project Responsibilities: Direct support to project managers in execution of gas turbine power plant equipment. Review and influence on design, 3D modelling and 2D drafting of equipment. Tendering and procurement of raw materials, equipment and labour for the fabrication, function testing and site erection of equipment. Direct management of fabrication facilities, both remotely from the office, and locally based at the facility. Significant time spent at international fabrication facilities, managing different worker expertise, language, materials and clients. Other Responsibilities: Development of automated spreadsheet to design steel stacks/chimneys to ASME STS-01 design standard from raw inputs through to stack sizing and capacity utilisation. Updating of most documents within the QMS, ensuring consistent content and formatting. Implementation and introduction of new documentation and quality control systems to improve workplace performance. Internal IT hardware management and procurement, as well as direct interaction with IT consultancy for server and network management.
