As a member of the Shared Data Experince Team, I worked on the systems that cross security, data governance, and workload management. I championed feature parity across AWS, Azure and GCP, working with their network and compute offerings. Working inside the Hadoop ecosystem, I enhanced the datalake backup process while working with some of the components that make up the datalake including, Atlas, Hbase, Kerberos and Ranger. For my part in helping to build a growing team, I enjoyed leading interviews of future team members and mentoring both new engineer and interns on my team and companywide.Additionally while at Cloudera, I was a Chair for the Cloudera Cares program and led the Americas in identifying CSR opportunities, as well as communicating to and organizing employees around these opportunities.

I worked on the backend platform team where I revamped the document relations systems to support some of the largest matters DISCO ever handled. With multi-terabytes of data on a particular matter we could expect to handle processing the billions of possible relationships between files in a speedy manner so that data processing wasn't stopping lawyers from getting work done. This involved a deep introspection of the job queuing system and several cross-team dependencies to make the most out of DISCO's AI.On the side I also put together tools which helped expose key metrics around processing and the customer experience to C-level.

From idea to execution, I launched and scaled the backend Apple News services, delivering millions of articles every second directly to the home screen of every iPhone.I improved the syncing performance of CloudKit framework which powers iCloud Drive, Photos, Notes, Backup as well as many other first-party and third-party appsJVM heap analysis across the iCloud server stack, saving tens millions of dollars in memory provisioning requirementsWorked with multiple first party app teams to deliver custom results perfect for every app
