Lead the mechanical design of the project from the conceptual stage through to design to meet the needs and requirements set out by the Project Manager to complete the project.Mechanical: Package equipment specifications and data sheets, Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), technical bid summaries, and purchase proposals.Mechanical review of equipment vendor drawings; data interaction with vendors, other engineering disciplines of the client, detailers, and designers.Apply expertise in mechanical concepts, practices, specifications, and procedures commonly used within the mechanical engineering services industry. Applies knowledge and experience to evaluate complex projects, non-standard design solutions.Prepare and present technical reports for clients and trade books.Modify to build effective relationships and develop new business opportunities with existing clients, customers and contractors. Responsible for the design of aircraft electrical systems and avionics to ensure they meet high standards of functionality and performance.Ensure that all design work complies with relevant aviation regulatory and certification standards, including the requirements of the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and other relevant agencies.
