The project is titled “An Open Source Project for a Software-Defined Perimeter to Defend Cloud Apps from DDoS.” Implementing open source Software Defined Perimeter by expanding and augmenting the capabilities of Firewall Knock Operator (fwknop).Investigating and experimenting with tools and standards already available to determine suitability for inclusion in a complete DDoS Defense solution. Tools and standards evaluated include Firewall Knock Operator (fwknop), Vidder PrecisionAccess, Data Distribution Service (DDS), and OpenVPN.Working closely with government, NGO, and industry partners including DHS, NIST, Intel, Amazon, Vidder, and the Cloud Security Alliance to ensure practical, useful solutions are developed and transitioned.Regularly contribute on the Software Defined Perimeter Working Group, which is part of the Cloud Security Alliance.
