CurrentResponse:- Attend to emergency situations, including: wildfires, floods, wind damage, and utility outages- Responsible for public mass notification, including the refinement of alert and warning procedures for IPAWS (WEA, EAS), Emergency Telephone Network, public sign ups, and internal groups- Responded to the border situation which saw the release of approximately 37,000 migrants to the streets, over 6 months, which entailed mass sheltering, feeding, and transportation- Deployed as Operations Section Chief to Ruidoso, NM, in support of the wildfires and flooding, as part an Incident Management Assistance Team Plan:- Recently wrote and received competitive grant for update of Community Wildfire Protection Plan- Completed rewrite of Emergency Operations Plan- Managed Hazard Mitigation Plan project- Rewrote and maintain HAZMAT response plan for LEPCTraining and Exercise:- Wrote and executed large County-wide Functional Exercise testing emergency communications- Wrote and facilitated several table top exercises- Wrote and facilitated workshops on disaster declarations, training and exercise plans, HAZMAT Tier II reporting, and mutual aid agreementsRecovery – conduct Preliminary Damage Assessments, seek funding for residences or governments via Small Business Administration programs or Public Assistance grantsMitigate - liaise with other organizations in preparation of FEMA Mitigation GrantsManage Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) team of approximately fifty volunteers, which supports SAR, EOC activations, and hospital emergency communicationsFinancial – manage upwards of eight funding streams for an approximate annual budget of half million dollarsStaff Liaison: Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), including Tier II reporting coordinator to local fire and HAZMAT agencies
