Joined the European Accounting CoE, taking responsibility for operational supply chain controllership for Europe. Also controllership business partner for c. $30m revenue Prague entity and c. $15m German entity. This role occurred during GE’s finance transformation – responsible for influencing and project managing to enable transfer of transactional activities to a hub in Budapest.•Convinced senior executives to follow an IT strategy which unlocked military data restrictions on finance transformation for the UK. Led a cross departmental team to successfully implement this project. Received an award from the Global Aviation Controller for this work•Stepped in to perform all US GAAP accounting and review for the Prague entity with one day’s handover, in a foreign language. Overcame resistance by influencing across strong cultures to ensure the transformation strategy was maintained•Project managed the successful outsource of all PP&E accounting for 3 UK sites

Inventory accounting, reporting, and reconciliation utilising an absorption and standard costing system for a c. $250m revenue business. Capex forecasting, business partnering and reporting to board level. Direct supervision of one employee to perform all site PP&E accounting. Also responsible for developing the operating plan for manufacturing cost and rate, and manufacturing rate analysis.•Created a detailed, long term forecasting model for manufacturing cost, hours and rate. This model was then rolled out to 3 other UK sites. Took 2 weeks out of the forecasting process by utilising this model and aided ad hoc decision making processes•Developed a complex FIFO costing model for exchange inventory and implemented a control process by partnering with operations. Received an award from the divisional CFO for this work•Trained and coached three interns from a low knowledge base to performing all tasks seamlessly•Improved Return to Vendor balance tracking and reporting. Drove action to process debit memos by partnering with operations reducing this debtor by $500k

Part of the controllership team in a complex US GAAP, multi-currency, and multi-ledger environment. Responsible for producing financial statements for month end review and all fixed asset accounting – including a new system implementation, statutory reporting and internal and external audit support. Took on and developed the site’s cashbook process.•Took the site’s unreconciled PP&E register and implemented a fully US GAAP compliant database system•Overcoming change resistance, I developed and implemented a new cashbook and intercompany settlement process reducing resource requirement from 2 FTEs to 0.5 while also improving accuracy. This process was adopted by 3 other UK businesses.

Billing surge resource brought in to centralise the site’s billing to finance. Required to raise invoices and reconcile customer accounts. Gained transactional knowledge from the ground up.
