In October 2018 I was approved for Disney's College Exchange Program in Orlando, starting my activities in November of the same year.The first two weeks of the program are geared towards training, both at Disney University and at the main work location (for me, World of Disney, at Disney Springs, the largest Disney store in the world).The first week is focused on documentation and insertion in the organizational culture, which taught me a lot about:- The organizational culture of the company;- The focus and importance of prioritizing safety in any activity;- How to create happiness and lasting memories through the attention to details in each interaction, seeing each one as an opportunity to make the most pleasant and magical possible;- How the environment is important to positively influence our perception, improving our experience.The second week, on the other hand, is focused on specific training for the role you will be playing. In my case, Merchandise, having as responsibilities:- Proactive relationship with guests;- Recommendation of products based on the guest's tastes;- Register operations;- Inventory operations.And, throughout the program, these trainings are complemented with the experiences at work and outside of it. The various activities that I experienced there allowed me to learn from cooking, balancing personal and professional life to self-knowledge and understanding ways to apply my strengths in my career, discovering a true vocation and passion for serving. In addition, I was able to enrich my knowledge about other cultures and, of course, attest and improve in practice my English, both written and orally.This was the perfect opportunity to align enormous professional and personal development, as it brought together work and exchange experience.
