I always knew I wanted to be a Geologist, but wasn’t sure how to go about it. It first started In middle school earth science class. I was always fascinated by the earth and all its mechanics. I went into college as a Geology major, where my professors truly helped further my passion and dedication to the field. My experiences here helped me land an internship in upstate New York and shape my young career.After Graduation I started out as a materials testing technician, performing soil compaction testing as well as concrete testing and sampling. Though I found it interesting, I knew I was still searching for something greater. Once I was hired as a geologist by my current company Touchstone Environmental, I was finally immersed in the field I cared so much for. I currently perform Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s), soil sampling and classification, writing Phase I ESA reports, well water monitoring and sampling and dust monitoring.Skills:Rock/Soil identificationMicrosoft OfficeGISField SamplingOutside of Work, I enjoy Golfing, Exercising, Spending time with my family and visiting new places.
