Expanding on my role of independently leading R&D projects, while collaborating with my team members, and learning now processes and ideas in the Pizza industry

In the Research Technician II role, I hope to broaden my understanding of the Pizza category and the production lines that Rich's uses for pizza. I hope to travel to all of the production plants that manufacture pizza in the US and learn vital information about how our products are produced on a grand scale. I will also continue to work on my PLM training in SAP and better understand the product life-cycle management.

As a Research Technician I, I was exposed to a great deal of scientific and manufacturing processes that go into the pizza category. I have travelled to various manufacturing plants across the continental U.S to observe production lines running at full capacity, making everything from pizza crusts, dough balls, gluten-free crusts, to fully topped pizzas. I have gained experience using a multitude of analytical equipment to help analyze these products. The C-Cell is an imaging software/machine that helps evaluate cell structure in various products. I have analyzed moisture content in a multitude of products using a moisture machine.I am getting experience currently in SAP and PLM software to streamline the product life cycle process better

I worked as a temp in the BTI dept at Rich's working with a new mixing machine. I helped in the dough production on this machine, shelf life studies, and data analysis using a Volscan machine (to measure specific volume) and a C-Cell machine (to analyze cell structure). I also had exposure to Fresh n Ready pizza shelf life studies.

 Provided stock solution, unknown chemicals and hardware for over 200 students enrolled in chemistry labs at the college Maintained an inventory list of all chemicals belonging to the chemistry department on Quartzy Synthesized stock solutions for undergraduate labs and research labs Delivered packages to all chemistry faculty  Recorded inventory of all academic labs – over 1000 chemicals Managed specific lab sections individually to prep for daily lab activities (i.e. organized all chemicals and hardware for all organic lab sections)
